TPSC Sub‑Inspector Exam
The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) conducts recruitment for Sub‑Inspector (Excise/Police) posts through a three-stage process: Written Exam (Paper I & II, total 200 marks), Physical Endurance Test (PET), and Personality/Interview Test. The exam assesses English, computer basics, maths, science, general knowledge, and current affairs related to Tripura and India. Proper practice with previous papers, PET preparation, and interview readiness are essential.
Written Syllabus
Paper I (100 marks)
- English: Grammar, comprehension, para jumbles, vocabulary.
- Computer Basics: Internet, MS-Office, hardware/software, networking.
- Mathematics: Percentages, ratios, averages, simple algebra.
- General Science: Physics basics, environment, biology fundamentals.
Paper II (100 marks)
- General Knowledge & Current Affairs: History, geography, Tripura affairs, Indian polity, economy, national and international news.

Physical Endurance Test (PET)
Candidates must pass the following qualifying physical benchmarks:
- 100m Sprint: 15 seconds
- 800m Run: 2 min 50 sec
- Long Jump: 3.80m
- High Jump: 1.20m
- Shot Put (7.26kg): 5.60m
Personality Test
The interview assesses logical thinking, state awareness, moral character, and communication. Maximum marks: 20.
